Hey Delights!
I had a blast celebrating the launch of Halfstack Magazine's annual giving issue at the Chicago Eloquii store yesterday. I wore this amazing puff sleeve velvet dress that gave me all the 80's vibes that I so love. I actually walked pass this dress initially when I saw (just writing that and the reminder that we have an actual Eloquii store here in Chicago made me 😍). But anyway, I thought it was a little too matronly for me but I eventually tried it on and fell completely in love with it. So remember to always try things on, even if they don't seem like they are your style or even if you are unsure if the size will fit you, TRY IT ON!
There is only one thing that I wish was different about this dress. And that is that the puffs in the sleeve were even more Dominique Deveraux big and fabulous!😝

Check out my Facebook page to see this dress in motion. I added my glitter bow belt that I purchased from Eloquii in 2014 (seen here) that they have restocked. It is that perfect little something to add a pop of bling to your look. It also comes in a pretty gold.Photo credit: Michelle Swoons
And I rocked my wine velvet boots (that I snagged for $18) that are the exact same style as my blue ones. And they are so fabulous. If you haven't snagged these boots by now, what are you waiting for??? Both the wine and blue are so vibrant and the heel is short enough that I can rock them all day. And I also just saw that today they are actual on sale for $17!! I am going to get the black pair. Shout out to Macy's for the mega sales, Macy's Money and fast shipping. I am also wearing the Hue Heat Temp tights that I talked about in my previous Break the Winter Slog post. (Stay tuned for a new version.)
I met so many amazing women at the event, including Halfstack Magazine's cover model, Donnie Smith, the Executive Director of Donda's House. One of my goals for the coming year is to get back to volunteering and Donda's House is one of the organizations that I am excited to get involved with.
